COVID-19: Updates and Resources

Maroon Financial Credit Union is committed to serving its members, wherever they live, even if they are far away from The University of Chicago campus.  Our top priority is the health and welfare of the members of our community.   With the cancellation of Spring Quarter classes and new work from home arrangements, many of our members will be spending considerable time away from campus.

As the impact of coronavirus COVID-19 continues to unfold, Maroon Financial has taken steps to protect the health and safety of our members, employees, and community.   You may experience longer call wait times than you are accustomed to.  Please be assured that we are committed to answering your call as quickly as we can.

Maroon Financial has many resources available that allow members to access credit union resources remotely.

Online Banking and Sprig Mobile App   

With these services you can:

  • Check balance and transaction information.
  • Transfer money between accounts.
  • Members with checking accounts can use Bill Pay to pay bills, pay individuals, and to transfer funds between Maroon Financial and accounts they hold at other financial institutions. 
  • Deposit checks
  • Send a secure message to a Financial Service Representative for questions about your accounts.

Telephone Banking

Maroon Financial remains available over the phone by calling 773-702-7179 during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central Time.  While wait times may be longer than normal, we are committed to answering your call as quickly as possible.

Shared Branching

Our members can visit over 6,000 branches of our partner credits in all 50 states to:

  • Deposit cash and checks with a teller.
  • Withdraw cash with a teller.
  • Get a cashier’s check with a teller.
  • Make a loan payment with a teller.

ATMs

Maroon Financial is part of four surcharge-free ATM networks that give our members access 70,000 free ATMs in all 50 states.

Online Loan Applications

New and existing members can apply for mortgages, auto loans, personal loans, and credit cards online using a computer, tablet, or smart phone.  Online Banking access is not required

Online Membership Application 

You can become a member and open accounts online with a computer, tablet, or smart phone.  Your new account can be funded electronically from an outside credit union/bank account or with a debit/credit card.
