Before you can enroll in online bill pay, you must be registered for online banking and have an existing checking account. Log in to online banking and follow the on-screen prompts to register for online bill pay. You’ll be also asked to complete a few security steps, which will enhance the safety of your online transactions.

How secure are online banking and bill pay? 

Our online banking access and online bill payment service use a state-of-the-art integrated security system to protect your account data from exposure to unauthorized persons.

Based on a tiered security policy — which includes firewalls, User IDs and passwords, encryption, digital certificates, annual security certifications and multiple hardware servers — this system governs all aspects of the online banking and online bill pay services. Each tier addresses a unique aspect of your online banking session and online bill pay transactions with the Credit Union. Together, these policies form a rigid security implementation that enables our members to conduct business with the Credit Union via the Internet with an extremely high degree of security. 

In addition, we have a second layer of security (multifactor authentication). During the first login after you enroll in online banking — you will register the computers you use most often for Internet access. 

How much does it cost to use online bill pay?

Nothing. As our financial technology evolves, we realize that it is essential to continue to connect you and your money in the easiest ways possible. Online bill pay is a FREE service of Maroon Financial Credit Union with any checking account.

Who can I pay using online bill pay?

You can pay anyone — including monthly utility bills, rent, credit card bills, day care, etc. How long does it take to process a payment? For most electronic business payees, only two days are needed. For non-electronic payees, online bill pay issues a check and sends it to the payee, allowing six days for the payment to be received and posted. 

Can I change or delete payments? 

You can change or delete any "Pending" payment up to the day it is scheduled for the funds to be withdrawn from your account. 

Are there any exceptional features?

In addition to the features you'd expect, online bill pay offers a unique option to send a gift check with a personalized letter directly to a recipient for a small fee. You can also transfer from and to other financial institutions from your credit union checking account.
